- Any customer information that is acquired by PC Health Checks during the execution of work on the customer's computer will be held in strict confidentiality and under no circumstances will it be divulged to any third party. Information provided by the customer via our website or by telephone or email is protected under the terms of the Data Protection Act and will be kept confidential.
- While the PC Health Checks engineer is on site an adult responsible for the customer computer must remain available for consultation. This particularly applies to home visits; the engineer is not allowed to enter, or remain in, a house without a responsible adult on the premises.
- PC Health Checks undertake work on PCs with Windows Operating Systems (98/98SE/ME/2000/XP) only. Regretfully, we do not work on Macs, Linux systems etc.
- It is the responsibility of the customer to have backed up all important programs and data before any remedial work begins. PC Health Checks will not accept responsibility for loss of data occasioned by any authorised work on the customer's computer.
- PC Health Checks will not accept responsibility for re-infection of a customer's computer by virus, spyware or other malicious program after it has been disinfected. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the software protection is kept up-to-date and that the Internet is used sensibly. We would be pleased to offer guidance on this if requested.
- Payment for services authorised by the customer and carried out by PC health Checks is due on completion of those services. Payment will normally be collected before the engineer leaves the site. Business customers who have arranged for credit facilities will be invoiced; invoices must be paid within 14 days of invoice date.
- PC Health Checks will agree an appointment time with the customer when the booking is confirmed. These times are subject to over- or under-runs at any previous site visits. We ask that customers are patient and understanding; for our part we undertake to contact the customer if the engineer's arrival time is likely to fall outside the one-hour slot agreed.
